February 2027
Exam 11/02/2027. Bookings open 22/09/2026 for resident doctors and members and 29/09/2026 for non-members, close 27/11/2026, and results are released 04/03/2027.
August 2027
Exam 26/08/2027. Bookings open 24/11/2026 for members and 01/12/2026 for non-members, close 25/06/2027, and results are released 16/09/2027.
UK venues are Belfast, Bridgend, Edinburgh, Leeds, London and Manchester. International venues are Hong Kong and Kolkata, India.
For 2027, UK member fees are £605 to £710 and the non-member fee is £945. International fees vary by location.

Format
The exam has two papers of 120 single-best-answer questions each, delivered on the Speedwell digital platform. From Spring 2027, CO Part 2 exams will adopt the TNM 9 staging system.
What the questions expect
The questions expect UK practice as set out in NICE guidance, RCR consensus statements and the trials they cite. Across 2,500+questions, FRCR Vault's answers name the guideline or trial so a candidate trained elsewhere can see where UK practice differs from their own.

There are two non-renewing passes: £39 for three months or £69 for six. Founding members who subscribed before 11/09/2026 receive £29 / £55 automatically when signed in.
